Cummington Cultural District: A Celebration of Place & Creativity

The Cummington Cultural District, formally designated in 2023, is a dense footprint of cultural activity along Main Street, a gem tucked into the hills along the Westfield River. We believe that culture has the power to inspire, connect, and transform. Our mission is to promote and support the cultural activities that make Cummington such a dynamic rural community, from the annual Cummington Fair to contemporary Project Art, Friday Night Cafe at the Village Church, and so much more.

We publish a Cummington Events Calendar to our website and social media; fund and promote the cultural activities, programs, and events of other local organizations and artists through Main Street Art Activations; and produce community events and public programs throughout the year, often in partnership with other Hilltown organizations. Our robust collection of Public Art on Main Street can be viewed throughout the year, and is updated annually. Join us for a program, take a Public Art walk, and see what Cummington has to offer.
